The Castle Hotel, up on the hill above the house - good grub at the bar
The George Hotel, literally 2 minutes away - another good grub in the bar experience and definitley fab for a good Sunday roast!
The Bridge Cafe, on the other side of the river - open in the Summer on Fridays and Saturday evenings
Zeera, again less than 2 minutes walk from No 10 - Indian to eat in or take away
In the day there is also
Pilgrims in the Cathedral Close
‘The Cafe’ in the centre of town with the yummiest pastries
The Hours on Ship Street – combining good coffee with an eclectic mix of books to browse and buy
Giglios in Bethel Square
Ardent Gallery on the High Street another ‘combination’ experience with art to look at whilst downing good cake
